Reel to reel skull for the DierveK home page. Originally intended to be a floating MP3 player for an AR application. I ended up repurposing it for my blog site. What you are hearing initially may sound familiar to some out there, it’s a sample of a sample from the Beastie Boy’s album Hello Nasty followed by the original song “El Rey Y Yo” by the Los Angeles Negros that the sample of the sample is from.
I still like the idea of using anachronistic devices for AR and VR and we’ll hopefully revisit the idea someday

Worked with a talented art director who provided a storyboard for me to animate this banner in HTML5. This banner is set to loop indefinitely. Normally they play twice than freeze on the last frame.

Animated the the key art. Working with what the art director created I wanted to follow their use of negative space for the animations to give the feeling that things can easily be hidden.

For the ask: I Had to show this characters super natural power to put people to sleep.

Intended for social media and email. The interesting thing about this is that I did not have full assets for this ad. I had to go down to the grocery store and buy a bag of wild chips and scanned the packaging to use as a texture.
